Hampshire are looking for a like-for-like replacement for Jayden Seales after seeing their overseas plans thrown into fresh chaos on the eve of the new season.
First reported by BBC Sport earlier today, The Hawk can confirm that the West Indies have refused to issue a no-objection certificate for the 24-year-old pace bowler, who was due to head to the Utilita Bowl for the opening six matches of the County Championship season.
It's a blow to Hampshire's plans, with Michael Neser having already been withdrawn from his contract with the county by Cricket Australia.
Now West Indies Cricket have followed suit - leaving Hampshire facing a race against time as they prepare for their opening match of the Division One season against Essex on April 3.
