Hampshire defied the weather to rain on Surrey's parade and complete a memorable semi-final victory in the One Day Cup at the Utilita Bowl.

On a day where rain was never far away, Georgia Adams' side chased down Surrey's 287 to pull off one of the most extraordinary wins in the county's history.

Freya Kemp led the charge, smashing 50 off just 28 balls before Adams and Mary Taylor shared a stand of 104 to guide Hampshire over the line - banishing the September gloom that had engulfed the ground from first ball to last.

"We just put up an amazing fight," says Kemp, "It was raining all day and throughout our entire innings - credit to the ground staff and the umpires for keeping us on. It was a great fight and such an impressive run chase.
