Hampshire look set to announce a new deal with a ground within the county as they look to ease the pressure on the Utilita Bowl, the Hawk understands.
What would effectively amount to a new out ground - the identity of which is currently a closely guarded secret - could see Hampshire potentially host some Metro Bank One Day Cup matches at the venue in the future.
The ground would also host a range of matches involving the county's Second XI, Academy and women's cricket.
Out grounds have been in the headlines since the start of this year's Metro Bank One Day Cup, with the likes of Scarborough selling out and some of English cricket's lesser known locations suddenly finding themselves brought back to life.
