There could be a familiar but unexpected face in the Hampshire line-up when Nick Gubbin's side take on Surrey in the fifth group stage fixture in this year's Metro Bank One Day Cup.
Current Hundred rules dictate that a player can be available for the 50 over competition if they have missed two consecutive games in the tournament and there is not a Hundred match on the same day as a One Day Cup clash.
And the Hawk understands that these rules could hand Hampshire a significant boost as they travel to South London to take on Surrey in one of their toughest assignments in the tournament.
Both Toby Albert and James Fuller was snapped up as wildcards for this year's Hundred.
