There's probably no better place to reflect on the pace of change in women's cricket than at the WACA - a ground synonymous with speed.

When the Hawk catches up with Freya Kemp, the sun has set in this corner of Western Australia.

The 20-year-old, though, is intent on lighting up her first overseas franchise tournament after shining for Hampshire and the Southern Brave across all formats this summer.

"The WACA is a cute ground," says Kemp. "It's a great place to play cricket.
