The London 2012 Olympics brought the nation to a standstill - and a ten-year-old Toby Albert was lucky enough to have a ringside seat.

Hampshire's Mr Versatile returned to the county's white ball side for the final match of the Metro Bank One Day Cup against Gloucestershire in Bristol on Tuesday.

He had spent much of the previous month patiently trying to force his way into the Southern Brave's plans in the Hundred.

That may have to wait another season, but Albert is unlikely to be concerned at the wait. This is a man who knows better than most the curve balls that professional sport can serve up.
