He was the greatest fast bowler in the world - but to me Malcolm Marshall was just my housemate

For many, including a vast number of Hampshire supporters, he's the greatest fast bowler in the history of the game.

For Cardigan Connor, though, Malcolm Marshall was a housemate and friend first, and a cricketer second.

Speaking to The Hawk from his parliamentary headquarters — Connor is now the Minister for Health, Sports and Tourism back on his home island of Anguilla — he reveals that he never travels without one of his most treasured possessions.

"Terry Brewer was the dressing-room attendant at Hampshire, and he sent me a photograph of when I went back to England for Malcolm's wedding," says Connor.
