Joe Weatherley says he was blown away by the Hampshire crowd after he made his third List A hundred to make it two wins from two Metro Bank One Day Cup matches against Essex at the Utilita Bowl on Thursday.

Hampshire had opened their campaign with a handsome win over the holders, Glamorgan, in Neath on Tuesday.

But in many ways, this win was even more impressive as Hampshire's young side chased down a sizeable target with ease, thanks to Weatherley's hundred and Tilak Varma's classy 54.

The only issue for the county, it seems, is arranging the post-match celebrations.
