Hampshire have moved quickly to replace Hilton Cartwright after the Australian was forced to fly home to Western Australia in an attempt to ensure he's fit for the start of the Sheffield Shield season.

Cartwright was one of Hampshire's standout performers against Durham in the quarter-finals of the Vitality T20 at the Riverside on Friday evening.

But, as the Hawk revealed on Saturday, Cartwright will miss Finals Day at Edgbaston on Saturday.

His absence will be filled by South African left-armer Bjorn Fortuin, who played three matches for Hampshire in the group stages of the competition.
