We may find ourselves in the depths of winter, but the cricket season never stops.

And now Hampshire are on the brink of making two decisions that will have a sizeable impact on their 2026 campaign in red and white ball cricket.

The county have been without a head coach and a bowling coach since the departures of Adi Birrell and Graeme Welch at the end of a rollercoaster season on the south coast.

Birrell returned to his farm in South Africa, while Welsh also went home - leaving Hampshire to head back to Warwickshire.
