Hampshire's T20 Finals Day defeat against Somerset looks set to be remembered for the final appearance of one of the county's most reliable white performers.
As the county look to rebuild across all formats this winter, they will have to put together their plans for next season's Vitality T20 without an all-rounder who has played a key role in their success in recent seasons.
Despite expectations of a relatively quiet winter of arrivals and departures at the Utilita Bowl, the Hawk understands that James Vince's T20 side will be going into next summer's Blast without Benny Howell.
Howell had returned to Hampshire - the county where he had begun his career - from Gloucestershire on a three-year deal in December 2022.
