Hampshire are only one game into their T20 Blast but the margin for error has already closed considerably after their opening day defeat to reigning holders Somerset, at Taunton on Friday night.

Chris Wood played on opening night, and doesn't hold back with his summary of a disappointing night in the West Country.

"It was a very standard Hampshire start, to be honest - pretty poor with both bat and ball. In the first 11 overs we were around 105, and then only went on to get 158 at a ground like Taunton, which is notoriously high scoring with 200-plus totals in the past," he says.

"To only get 50-odd runs in those last nine overs was incredibly disappointing.
