Hampshire set to announce major overseas signing for 2026 Blast season

Hampshire are lining up a familiar face as they look to go one better in the Vitality Blast in 2026.

It has been a quiet few months in the arrivals lounge at the Utilita Bowl.

But with Hampshire set to announce a replacement for Adi Birrell in the next seven days, they are also preparing to unveil a marquee signing for next season's Vitality T20.

Hampshire reached the final of the Blast back in September, losing to Somerset after blitzing Northamptonshire in the semi-finals..

Now, as they look to make an impact in the new look competition next summer, the Hawk understands that they are on the verge of securing the signature of Hilton Cartwright.
