Hampshire Secure Star's Signature
29.10.26, 11:04 Updated 29.10.26, 11:05
Hampshire have dramatically strengthened their top order batting by securing the signature of one of county cricket's most highly-rated batters.
The county's struggles with the bat were well-documented last season, with Russell Domingo's side picking up just four bonus points throughout the 2026 season.
Now, having already brought in Leicestershire's Rishi Patel for their 2027, they have added to their batting stocks with a player who has been an outstanding performer in red ball cricket for the past two seasons.
The Hawk understands that a deal has been completed for Northamptonshire's Saif Zaib, with the 28-year-old left hander set to head south after spending his entire career at Wantage Road.
