It will be groundhog day at Taunton on Friday night.
Back in September, Hampshire and Somerset slogged it out in the final of the 2025 T20 Blast, with Somerset emerging victorious to celebrate a third title at Edgbaston.
Later this week, in temperatures predicted to be considerably warmer than those that greeted the teams at the Utilita Bowl over the past four days, the pair will clash again in a match that could give a pretty good indication of Hampshire's ambitions in the shortest format this summer.
They will go into that game without one of their two major overseas stars.
