Earlier this week The Hawk invited supporters the opportunity to voice their opinion on everything that was wrong with Hampshire cricket.
The response was immediate. The lists were lengthy. Completely understandably, given everything that has unfolded - or unravelled in Division One so far in 2026.
Taken in the round, Hampshire's season in red ball cricket has been largely devoid of positives.
But Thursday at Trent Bridge provided a glimpse into a future that could be substantially brighter.
