By his own admission, Kamran Dhariwal's career has been a slow burner.
But it sparked into life in 2025 - and caught Hampshire on the hop.
Dhariwal had been part of Hampshire's age group set-up but had never won an academy place.
The former Lymington batter, who spent the 2025 season at Southern Premier Cricket League champions St Cross, is speaking to The Hawk from Southmead Hospital, where he is three years into a five year course.
