It has been a busy 48 hours for Liam Dawson.

The Hampshire and England all-rounder spent Sunday smashing Yorkshire's bowlers around North Marine Road as Nick Gubbins' side piled yet more semi-final misery on the white rose county at Scarborough.

The coach finally rolled back into the Utilita Bowl at 2am.

For once this summer, the next 48 hours saw cricket take a place on the back-burner as he prepared for another comeback - this time the return of his children to primary school on Thursday.
