It has been a big August for Manny Lumsden.

But after making his senior bow for Hampshire at the age of just 16, GCSE's results day could be just about the most significant of the lot.

Lumsden started the week by dismissing Surrey's Rory Burns - a cricketer with 32 caps (not to mention three England centuries) - and was clocked at over 86mph on the Metro Bank One Day Cup live stream.

Now, as perhaps the most pertinent reminder you can receive of a young cricketers' age, he'll be awaiting the outcome of his secondary school exams just three days later.
